Hello the world,
We are the Djones, a family of 5, living, working and studying in Belgium and we have the opportunity to get out of our small country, for a while, to discover the world and its inhabitants.
As you may have guessed, Djones is not our real name. We’re a bit old-fashioned, we do not like very much to share online everything we do and see, we like our privacy : we have no facebook , we’ll try to avoid posting pictures of us (certainly of our daughters) and we do prefer real contacts over virtual friends .

So it’s a bit of a paradox to be here writing to you on this page to present ourself….let’s try

I am Nemo Djones, the only male representative of our little family; I am 43 years old, I am Belgian, hypermetropic, a little (a lot?) overweight and I managed to instill the virus of the travel to my 4 princesses … ha ha ha ha (diabolical laugh!). I have been working for more than 20 years already and I thought it was time to realize this dream that has trodden my mind since I was 20 years old when I was working as a student for Sabena, the defunct Belgian airline company. I have already traveled a little (in my youth) and more often for the job but nothing comparable to what awaits us.
I do not expect too much from our trip but I hope that the time we will share with the family throughout this journey will re-balance the time spent at work, not taking care of their homeworks (they’ll see what it’s like to have their dad as a teacher for a year!) and not always being there when it should be (not too often, fortunately). I hope, above all, that this experience will ultimately be positive and that the inconveniences, almost inevitable during such a journey, will be minimized: this experience will make us all grow, not only the girls, and will make stronger the ties that already unite us.

Me, I’m Lily Djones, the first adventure in my life began in 1994, when I left Brazil (and especially my family) for Belgium. There, I met my husband, Nemo, we founded our own home and I have the pleasure of taking care of our 3 daughters since their birth. Now in 2017, begins my 2nd great adventure but this time with all my family. I would like to share our journey – which, God willing, will be a wonderful and unforgettable experience – with all our dear ones: accompany us in your hearts.

We have 3 lovely daughters.
Lara is the eldest, she’s 13 years old (14 in September), she successfully completed her second year of secondary school (with some minor difficulties in mathematics). She learns guitar, likes to do theater and horse riding. She loves to draw, to read manga’s and Japan. She’s expecting from this trip to make unforgettable encounters and see the beauty of the world …
Our second child, Nicky Djones, is celebrating 12 years old at the beginning of our trip, she just finished primary school with beautiful notes and beautiful memories. She also does horseriding and learns to play the guitar. Her favorite animals are the felines and her favorite color is blue. During this trip, she would like to see plenty of different animals, also beautiful landscapes and to spend more time with the family.
Our youngest is Dora Djones,10 years old, she just finished her 4th years (primary school of La Minerie), she started learning to play the violin.
She like the school but also to draw, read and have fun. Her favorite color is turquoise blue and she likes to make discoveries and adventures in family. During this trip she’s expecting to make friends from different countries and learn several languages.
